BrochureVariety of Dance Classes and Levels

We offer classes for the beginner to the advanced dancer. Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Pointe, Preschool Dance and Tumbling, Dance Team Prep, Lyrical/Contemporary, and Musical Theatre for ages 3 to adult. Our class size average is 10-12 dancers per class. The teacher/student ratio is 1-7.

Preschool Dance and Tumbling
In each fun filled class dancers will sing, dance and play with dance props. This class has been designed to learn basic ballet skills, creative dance, beginning tap and tumbling. In the spring, dancers will perform in one dance in our June recital.		  
Ballet
Forms of Ceechette and Russian classical ballet are emphasized. Technique is stressed at all levels.		  
Pointe
Intermediate ballet technique must be obtained before taking this class. Pointe and ballet shoes will be needed for this class. Beginner to intermediate levels will be taught. Teacher recommendations are required. 		 
Lyrical/Contemporary
A combination of ballet and jazz, this dance art form is great for an emotional dance experience.		  

Tap
Musical theatre and rhythm tap styles offered, from beginning to
advanced levels.

  
Hip Hop
A highly energetic class that teaches the latest new choreography trends.This class offers a variety of different forms of jazz with an emphasis on leaps, turn, and tricks.		  

Jazz
New York and West Coast styles are taught from beginning to advanced levels.

  
Dance Team
Our studio offers this class for ages eleven to fifteen. Chanhassen Dance currently provides the ballet, hip hop and jazz technique for two local high school dance teams. Our Dance Team Prep class is taught by Pam Sylvestre,
former captain and current coach of the dance team for the college of St.Thomas and also currently a Vikings cheerleader.		  
Musical Theatre
This class is designed for students who are pursuing training in the theatrical arts. Students are taught dance routines from popular musicals. The class is structured to develop the student’s auditioning abilities such as stage presence and self-confidence. Special classes designed for students interested in theatrical productions. Dances and blocked scenes from popular musicals taught in each class.
